Herbivore Botanicals: A natural beauty brand launched from a Seattle kitchen

Launched from its founders Seattle kitchen in 2011, Herbivore Botanicals, is bringing a fresh vibe to the beauty industry. Free of fillers, meaning that almost every ingredient in their products is an “active” ingredient, each product is made of highly concentrated and effective formulas. A rarity in the skincare and cosmetics world today.

The original formulas, created and tested on real people, by the founders Julia Wills and Alexander Kummerow themselves, the entire line of products is made only with organic, high quality, and food-grade ingredients such as French pink clay or Brazilian gemstones.

In addition to creating products that give noticeable results, the duo also put an emphasis in making products you’ll want to indulge in. The thoughtfully designed packaging, minimalistic, yet modern branding blended with intoxicating scents and luxurious textures, remind us that taking care of our body is not a luxury but a great way to carve out some much-needed downtime in our hectic routine. Beauty rituals have always been an important part of women and men’s life and the new wave of natural beauty brands is here to restore our faith in cosmetics and give us the chance to indulge without any guilt.

The duo has not only proven that cosmetics can be effective and 100% natural but also that, with a little will, some creativity and a pinch of good branding a business can be started from a kitchen. Not having a garage is not a valid excuse anymore.
