Afriek, handmade blazers from Kigali

Bringing together Dutch design and authentic African print fabrics, Afriek   promotes African sartorial culture with unique handmade men’s blazers.

Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills, also known for its sartorial culture spanning hundreds of years, is home of an uncountable number of tailors and, its local culture of custom-made clothes, serves as inspiration to the slow and sustainable creative process behind each garment.

Every single Afriek blazer is handmade by only one tailor who’s portrait and story can be found on the brand website. From the cutting of the fabric, to the final stitches of the lining there is only one craftsman that works on one garment. Ensuring that each blazer is totally unique and creating a strong relation between the maker and the client.

A perfect mix of impeccable craftsmanship, forward-thinking fashion and sustainable business philosophy.
